Create and Manage MySQL Databases
Set up databases in cPanel and connect them to your application.

Create a database
- Open cPanel → MySQL Databases.
- Under Create New Database, enter a name and click Create Database.
- Scroll to MySQL Users → Add New User with a strong password.
- Under Add User To Database, select the user and database, then Add.
- Grant ALL PRIVILEGES and click Make Changes.
Connect your app
Use localhost as the database host. The full database name and username include your cPanel prefix (e.g. cpaneluser_dbname). Find exact values in cPanel → MySQL Databases.
phpMyAdmin access
Open cPanel → phpMyAdmin to browse tables, run SQL queries, and import/export backups. Always back up before running manual SQL.
