Why is My DNS Not Propagating?
Understand TTL and how to speed up DNS propagation worldwide.

What is propagation?
When you change DNS records, ISPs around the world keep cached copies of the old record. They only refresh when the TTL (Time To Live) expires. This is why a change may show in some countries before others.
Speed it up
- Lower the TTL to 300 seconds 24 hours before you plan to make a change.
- Flush your local DNS cache (ipconfig /flushdns on Windows, sudo dscacheutil -flushcache on macOS).
- Use 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8 as your DNS resolver to bypass slow ISP caches.
- Test from multiple regions with our DNS Lookup tool.
